Certificate of Inspiration
Each assembly or inspirational talk features an inspirational story from one of our role models of achieving goals, and overcoming adversity. Our talks reach a cross roads where we ask the question ‘So What?’ and the remainder of the talk is focussed on their dreams and aspirations.
Our role models include business people, Olympians, explorers, world record holders, musicians and artists.
Certificates of Inspiration are given to participants to record their interests and passions, goals and long term dreams as part of our process. -
Challenges
We have developed a series of team based challenges to help build life and social skills and core competences to enhance employment opportunities. Completion of challenges and team projects helps to build self efficacy and team work akin to the real world of work. These challenges are seen by participants as outside the normal school activities, enriching and providing valuable experiential learning. They are further enhanced through the use of inspirational role models
The challenges can be organise to run over a day, week or term and usually feature one or more role models linked to the challenge topic.
Our team challenges include:
• Outdoor challenges run in partnership with our sister company Canoe Trail
• Enterprise Challenge
• Environmental Challenge
• Film festival Challenge
• Challenge cards -
Well-being Journal
During lockdown Inspired Life was commissioned to harnesss our emotonional well-being and mental health resources and experience into a well-being journal for churches and local communities in Milton Keynes. As part of this we rewrote our award winning Little Book of Inspiration into a self help well-being journal allowing a wide range of activities to help build resilience and emotional well-being.
Our Well-being journal uses proven techniques and models to help build the future you, to improve your well-being and emotional literacy. In simple terms helping understand triggers, things that make you feel good, and bad and help set goals to harness your strengths for positive outcomes. -
Bespoke Events and Days
Inspired Life offers a number of different days, events and activities tailored to meet the needs of our clients. These have include Olympic Youth Conferences, well-being days, school transition days, enrichment activities and team building activities.
The activities, speakers and format can be tailored to meet your budget. We follow our key elements through the provision of inspirational resources and role models. Historically we have run summer schools, community programmes for local authorities, grant awarded activities and other bespoke events.
One summer school for example has featured a celebrity chef teaching cookery, British Antarctic Survey running science, a GB Athlete taking sport, journalists, musicians, adventurers and zoo keepers. The net result showed 97% of young people felt more inspired and better at setting goals and had ideas for their future dreams and aspirations. -
Wellbeing Worksheets
Well being and good mental health are now mainstream phrases used in everyday life and terminology which is certainly different from 2010 when we launched Inspired Life. Our aim was to inspire, allow people to build a new language of emotional literacy, shape lives and feel generally more positive using your strengths rather than weaknesses, positive role models and goal setting.
Mapping the components or pillars of your mental health and well-being is a useful task to identifying how you are feeling, coping with stresses and strains and moving forward. It can be reviewed and revisited regularly to keep tweaking the model. -

Try some new — this might be brocoli or yoga or daily fitness routine
Help someone — think of people you can help, a neighbour, family member or act of kindness for a stranger. You might shop for someone, arrange a skype or video call or even give someone you haven’t spoken to for a while
Be a global citizen — consider some of the big issues that bother you, could be global warming, plastics and litter. Be aware of the facts, champion them and try to make a difference
Create your plan - think about things you want to change in your life? It might be better life balance, more time for hobbies, family and relationships. Set goals and targets to improve things
Learning and future ideas-reflect on your plans and targets set. How can you improve them, review performance and keep going. Celebrate successes.
You can use the personal exploration sheet each day, week and beyond. Use it to shape new habits and routines. Try and challenge your status quo and achieve better life balance.
